Personally I'd rather not have glyphosphate sprayed onto any food or plant I'm going to eat. I'm not sure about the mechanism of glyphosphate dessicating but I'm not at all comfortable with it. What exactly does the enzyme glyphosphate oxidase convert glyphosphate to? Glyphosate is regularly sprayed onto wheat crops to help dessicate them ready for harvest, yes thats right... its sprayed directly onto the edible part of the plant that YOUR going to eat! However round up be sprayed onto the leaves of the sugar beet, which your not going to eat, yet you dont mind it being sprayed directly onto your wheat then?
